Powers

When it comes to characters, one thing I always want to like about them is their powers, skills, and how they utilize them. While I do love characters like Hulk, Thor, and Superman for powers like super strength, durability, healing, and flight, I also want to see how they use these powers in ways that many people wouldn't think of if they had them.

Examples of this would be using super strength in tandem with flight such as flying at high speeds to deliver a super-strong punch to a villain or using your super strength to do a thunderclap or jump long distances.

(Super strong Round of Applause)
Super Jump | Hulk marvel, Incredible hulk, Marvel
(Super strong Legs)

(Very painful flying punch)

Uses like these make me appreciate the character more as the writers found a way to make superpowers interesting despite many characters having the same power(s). Moments like these also can be good development moments for characters as well as they have also found ways to better utilize their powers in a fight and better understand how they can also affect the area they are fighting in.

While reading comics I find it fascinating to read how a character learns to better control/use their powers without harming others while also finding a way to be creative.

  1. I like your perspective here. You picked two characters with immense power. I have also noticed when in conversation with you, that you gravitate towards those with those insane powers. I actually like either unique/specific powers or those with minimal powers, because it forces that character to have to think outside the box with their solutions. One character that immediately comes to mind in that realm is Luffy from One Piece. Even though he's insanely strong, he always thinks of unique ways to solve challenges. I wonder if you think that characters with greater powers have a harder or easier time being creative with their abilities?
